From intimate album listening parties in New York to surrealist club nights in Portugal, July was another busy month for Lucid.

EVENSON – ‘EVE’ ALBUM LISTENING PARTY
Connecticut-based singer/ songwriter Evenson held an intimate listening event in New York for audiences to experience his debut album, ‘EVE’, before its public release. Evenson sat in the middle of the space on a grass and leaf covered circular stage, with audience members surrounding him in a circle. The album played from start to finish, feeling like performance art with Evenson coming in and out of singing, dancing and having internal reflective moments while the music filled the space. Themes of the album were integrated in every part of the space, from the Eve logo imprinted outside the venue, to the lighting and atmosphere, and bringing the woods into the space. Audiences were fully immersed in the world of the album.
NIINA’S LOVE CLUB AT VILLAGE UNDERGROUND LISBON
Alt-pop/ electronic producer, vocalist and DJ, niina, hosted the first installment of ‘niina’s love club’ – an inclusive club night reimagining the dancefloor as a softer, more vulnerable space. Shifting the focus away from the performer, the event invites audiences to let go of expectation and connect through movement, music and shared experience.
Taking place across the two cities that have shaped niina’s musical identity – Lisbon and London, the series brings together artists from both scenes, as well as a wider cultural collective of talent. The inaugural edition welcomed acclaimed DJ and BBC RADIO 1 presenter Jaguar, alongside Portuguese DJ and producer Vallechi, Brazilian DJ Nicolle Velcro, Romania’s Swap Bodies as well as UK vinyl DJ Lilly Winter warming up the night with an all-vinyl pre-party at DIGGERS – setting the tone for an open, inclusive, cross-cultural experience.
While dance music sits at the core of this initiative, niina’s ethos is about more than just the music itself: it’s about bringing people together – an ethos that wholeheartedly underscores the producer as one of the most refreshing talents emerging in the electronic scene right now.
The next ‘niina’s love club’ takes place on 9th October, at Village Underground Lisbon.
